MINUTES

Representative Cornish, Chair of the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:21 A.M. on March 24, 2015 in Hearing Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Cornish called the meeting to order at 10:21 A.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Considine moved that the minutes from the March 19, 2015 meeting be approved.

THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1718 (Nash): Old interstate Compact for juveniles repealed.

Representative Cornish moved to pass HF 1718 and move to the general register.

Testimony on HF 1718 presented by:
Rose Ann Bisch, Director of Department of Corrections Interstate Division

Representative Cornish renewed his motion to pass HF 1718 and move to the general register.

THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 0840 (Sanders): Election administration related provisions modified, including provisions related to school boards, voters, ballots, registration, violations, absentee ballots, candidates, vacancies, recounts, filing fees, and precincts; military and overseas absentee voting provisions modified; Uniform Faithful Presidential Electors Act provided; and various technical changes made.

Representative Cornish moved to pass HF 0840 and refer to the State Government Finance Committee.

Representative Quam moved the A15-0317 Amendment.

THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL.

HF 0222 (Cornish): Automated license plate reader data classified and governing policy required, log of use required, data required to be destroyed, inventory of surveillance technology required, and report required.

Representative Cornish moved to pass HF 0222 and move to the general register.

Representative Cornish moved the DE7 Amendment.
