MINUTES

Representative Dean Urdahl, Chair of the Legacy Funding Finance Committee, called the sixth meeting to order at 12:48P.M. on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Hearing Room Ten of the State Office Building.

A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Mary Murphy moved to approve the minutes of February 23, 2015. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF36 Dill, Mesabi Trail grant appropriation extended. Chair Urdahl laid the bill over for possible inclusion in the Legacy omnibus bill.

Gary Cerkvenik testified in favor of HF36.

HF461 Dill, Minnesota Historical Society funding provided for the Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature center, and money appropriated. Chair Urdahl laid the bill over for possible inclusion in the Legacy omnibus bill.

Bruce Kerfoot of the Gunflint Trail Historical Society testified in favor of HF461.

Representative Heintzeman assumed the gavel at 1:02 P.M.

HF84 Schoen, Washington County; Grey Cloud Slough habitat improvement funding provided, and money appropriated. Chair Heintzeman laid the bill over for possible inclusion in the Legacy omnibus bill.

Richard Adams, of the Grey Cloud Island Township Board, and Matthew Moore of the South Washington Watershed District, testified in favor of HF84.

HF166 Kahn, Legacy fund transfer to legislative auditor required for costs incurred, and money appropriated. Chair Heintzeman laid the bill over for possible inclusion in the Legacy omnibus bill.

Legislative Auditor James Nobles testified in favor of HF166.

HF618 Kiel, Red River watershed Management Board grant funding provided, and money appropriated. Chair Heintzeman laid the bill over for possible inclusion in the Legacy omnibus bill.

Wayne Goeken of the International Water Institute testified in favor of HF618.

Roy Mayeda, Brandon Meyer, and Skylar Nicsche of the Campbell-Tintah High School River Watch program testified in favor of HF618.

HF636 Schomacker, Fulda Heritage Society provided funding, and money appropriated. Chair Heintzeman laid the bill over for possible inclusion in the Legacy omnibus bill.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:54 P.M.
