MINUTES

Representative Bob Gunther, Chair of the Greater Minnesota Economic & Workforce Development Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:47 p.m. on February 10th, 2015, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative MILLER moved that the minutes of Tuesday, February 5, 2015 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Danna MacKenzie, Executive Director, gave an overview of The Office of Broadband Development, and Matt Grose, Broadband Task Force Member and Superintendent of The Deer River Schools, gave an overview of the Governor’s Task Force on Broadband.

The following individuals gave an overview of Current and Future Investments in Broadband:

Lisa McCabe, Senior Director of Public Policy, Satellite Broadcasting & Communications Association;
Paul Weirtz, President, AT&T Minnesota;
Andy Sackreiter, Director of Engineering, AT&T Minnesota/Northern Plains;
Brent Christensen, President & CEO, Minnesota Telecom Alliance;
Mike Martin, Executive Director, Minnesota Cable Communications Association;
Bill Jensen, Regional Vice President, MediaCom, Waseca, MN.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:20 p.m.
