MINUTES

Representative Sanders, Chair of the Government Operations and Election Policy, called the meeting to order at 10:18 AM on April 16, 2015 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Albright moved to approve the minutes from April 14, 2015.

THE MOTION PREVAILED

HF 1971 (Nash) Thrive MSP 2040 metropolitan development guide approval before implementation required, and revision after local government input required.

The following testified on HF 1971:
Jim Nash – State Representative
Wes Kooistra – Metropolitan Council Deputy Regional Administrator
Bob Vogel – State Representative

Representative Nash moved to amend HF 1971 (See attached amendment H1971A1)

THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED

Representative Nash moved to amend HF 1971 (See attached amendment H1971A2)

THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED

Vice Chair Pugh assumed the gavel at 10:33 AM.

Chair Sanders reassumed the gavel at 10:35 AM.

Representative Nelson requested a roll call.

Representative Nash moved that HF 1971, as amended, be re-referred to the Rules and Legislative Administration Committee.
