ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES POLICY AND FINANCE COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative McNamara, Chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Policy and Finance Committee, began the meeting at 8:21 AM, on March 16th, 2016, in Room 5 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative McNamara officially called the meeting to order at 8:21 AM. A quorum was present.

Representative Uglem moved the minutes of March 15th, 2016 be adopted. THE MINUTES WERE ADOPTED.

HF2611 (McNamara) Outdoor heritage fund money appropriated, evaluation provisions modified, and prior appropriations modified.

Representative McNamara moved HF2611 be re-referred to the Committee on Legacy Funding Finances.

Representative McNamara moved to adopt the HF261123 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Green moved to adopt the HF2611A4 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Fabian moved to adopt the HF2611A14 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Newberger moved to adopt the HF2611A24 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative McNamara moved to adopt the HF2611A15 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative McNamara moved to adopt the HF2611A22 amendment.

Representative Persell requested a roll call.

Mark Johnson, Executive Director, Lessard Sams Outdoor Heritage Council, Joe Panelko, Lessard Sams Outdoor Heritage Council, Grant Wilson, Department of Natural Resources, Bob Meier, Assistant Commissioner, Department of Natural Resources, Craig Engwall, Executive Director, Minnesota Deer Hunters Association, Tara Mason, Secretary/Treasurer, White Earth Nation, and Lorene Vogt, White Earth Nation testified on HF2611 and proposed amendments.

Representative McNamara renewed the motion that HF2611, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Legacy Funding Finances. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
