MINUTES

Representative Jenifer Loon, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:50 P.M. on March 29th, 2016, in Room Five of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Dettmer moved the minutes of March 24th, 2016 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1529 Fenton, Education Savings Accounts for Students with Special Needs Act created, and money appropriated.

Representative Fenton moved HF1529 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Fenton moved H1529DE1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Fenton testified on HF1529, as amended.

HF1368 Kresha, Tax credit provided for contributions to qualified foundations.

Representative Loon moved HF1368 be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.

Representative Loon moved HF1368DE1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Kresha testified on HF1368, as amended.

Representative Loon renewed the motion that HF1368, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2670 Kresha, Early learning scholarships, home visiting programs, and parent aware activities funding increased; early learning scholarship cap eliminated; eligible age range for early learning scholarships and targeted home visiting program expanded, and money appropriated.

Representative Kresha moved HF2670 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Kresha moved H2670A4 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Kresha testified on HF2670, as amended.
