MINUTES

Representative Tim O’Driscoll, Vice Chair of the Commerce and Regulatory Reform Committee, began the meeting at 2:53 PM on April 5, 2016 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Commerce Fraud Bureau authority to apply for or execute search warrants clarified.

Representative O’Driscoll moved that HF3257 be re-referred to the General Register.

A quorum was reached at 2:57 PM and the meeting was called to order.

Representative O’Driscoll renewed the motion that HF3257 be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3252 (Newberger)
Qualified veterans required to receive a licensing experience waiver for broker's examination.

Representative O’Driscoll moved that HF3252 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Sanders renewed the motion that HF3252 be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Smith moved to approve the minutes of March 30, 2016. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2990 (Swedzinski)
Tax time savings grant program created and funding provided, existing appropriation for the taxpayer assistance grants program increased, and money appropriated.

Representative Swedzinski moved that HF2990 be re-referred to the State Government Finance Committee.

Small wireless facility deployment provided.

Representative Sanders moved that HF3554 be re-referred to the Rules Committee.

Representative Sanders moved the following oral amendment: line 3.16, delete “June 30, 2017” and insert “January 15, 2017”. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Sanders moved the following oral amendment: line 1.10 delete “communications” and insert “telecommunications”. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Sanders renewed the motion that HF3554, as amended, be re-referred to the Rules Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
