MINUTES

Representative Scott, Chair of the Civil Law and Data Practices Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:15 A.M. on March 15th, 2016, in Hearing Room Ten of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Scott called the meeting to order at 8:15 A.M. A quorum was present.


Representative Johnson moved to approve the minutes of March 10th, 2016. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2072-(Albright)
Watercraft and motor vehicle transfer-on-death title provided, and transfer exempted from motor vehicle sales tax.

Representative Hoppe moved that HF2072 be re-referred to the committee on Mining and Outdoor Recreation.

Representative Hoppe renewed his motion that HF2072 be re-referred to the Committee on Mining and Outdoor recreation. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2650-(HOPPE)
Receivership and assignments for the benefit of creditors provisions clarified, and short form of assignment for recording with a deed to transfer real property provided.

Representative Hoppe moved that HF2650 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Hoppe renewed his motion that HF2650 be re-refereed to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2705-(Hortman)
Minnesota Statute references updated to include limited liability companies under the Minnesota Revised Uniform Liability company Act, fees clarified, and other clarifying changes made.

Representative Hoppe moved that HF2705 be re-refereed to the General Register.

Representative Hoppe moved that HF2705 be laid on the table for future consideration. The bill was laid over for future consideration.

Representative Smith renewed his motion that HF2797 be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
