AGRICULTURE FINANCE COMMITTEE
MINUTES

Representative Kiel, Vice-Chair of the Agriculture Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:15 A.M. on February 24, 2015, in Room Five of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Kiel called the meeting to order at 10:15 A.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Lueck moved that the minutes of February 12, 2015, and the minutes of February 17, 2015 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Public testimony on organizations and programs that receive pass through grants from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) provided by:

Sarah Dornink with the Minnesota Agricultural Education Leadership Council.

Jim Molenaar with St. Cloud Technical & Community College.

Jerry Schoenfeld and Joe Scapanski with the Agricultural Societies and Associations.

Second Harvest Heartland CEO Rob Zeaske and Laurel Feddema.

Bruce Kleven and Marvin Zutz with Minnesota Turf Council; Marvin Zutz with Minnesota Turf Seed Counsel.

Steve Pooch with the Minnesota Livestock Breeders Association

Minnesota State Horticultural Society Chairman Bob Newman and Rose Eggert.

Jaren and Tammy Howe, grant recipients of the MDA Dairy Development and Profitability Enhancement Program, along with Jim Molenaar.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:49 A.M.
