MINUTES

Representative Erhardt, Chair of the Transportation Policy Committee called the meeting to order on March 7th, 2013 at 5:06 PM in the Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Selcer moved approval of the minutes from the meeting of Wednesday, March 6th, 2013. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

Rep. Sawatzky moved HF761:

Rep. Sawatzky presented HF761(Sawatzky), Sign franchise program modified, trunk highway emergency relief account changes made, county state-aid highway and municipal state-aid street systems rules and engineering standards variance requirements modified, cities apportionment formula definition and public transit participation program modified, railroad crossing warning sign requirements updated, and intrastate motor carrier driver medical waiver requirements changes conformed.

Chair Erhardt laid over HF761 for possible inclusion in the Transportation Policy Omnibus Bill

Vice Chair Masin Moves HF708:

Vice Chair Masin presented HF708(Masin), Local option transportation taxes amended, and county wheelage tax authority broadened.

Rep. Sawatzky moved HF709:

Rep. Sawatzky presented HF709(Sawatzky) Local option transportation taxes amended, county wheelage tax authority broadened and greater Minnesota transportation sales tax authority amended.

Rep. Sawatzky moved that HF709 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Transportation Finance Committee.

Rep. Runbeck requested a roll call on the motion.

Rep. Simonson moves HF1036:

Rep. Simonson presented HF1036(Simonson) Salvage titles regulated.

Chair Erhardt amended the motion that HF1036 be passed and re-referred to the Transportation Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILS.
