MINUTES

Representative Lenczewski, Chair of Committee on Taxes, called the meeting to order at 12:47 PM March 26, 2014 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Murphy, M. & Newton presented HF 1948.

Don Kerr testified on HF 1948.

Representative Atkins presented HF 2427.

Chief Jeff Anderson testified on HF 2427.

A quorum was present at 1:00 pm.

Representative Davids moved HF 2427. Representative Davids moved the H2427A1 amendment. Representative Davids moved that on line 1.17 of the H2427A1 amendment, strike “2” and replace with “1”.

The incorporation was included. The motion prevailed. The H2427A1 amendment was adopted.

Representative Simonson moved HF 1948. HF 1948 was laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus tax bill.

Representative Loon moved HF 3156. Representative Loon moved the A14-0996 amendment.

The motion prevailed. The A14-0996 amendment was adopted.

Representative Petersburg presented HF 3156.

Tom Hagerty testified on HF 3156.

HF 3156 was laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus tax bill.

Representative Davids moved HF 3289.

Representative Franson presented HF 3289.

Gary Carlson of the League of Minnesota Cities testified on HF 3289.

HF 3298 was laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus tax bill.

Representative Carlson moved HF 1302. Representative Carlson presented HF 1302.

HF 1302 was laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus tax bill.

Chair Lenczewski moved HF 3272. Chair Lenczewski presented HF 3272.

Pat Dalton, of House Research presented HF 3572.

HF 3272 was laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus tax bill.

Representative Davnie presented HF 1884, the report of the Property and Local Tax Division.

The Tax Committee went into recess at 2:00 PM.

The Tax Committee reconvened at 4:17 PM.

Nina Manzi, Steve Hinze, Pat Dalton and Joel Michael of House Research presented the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Kathy Schill and Cynthia Templin of House Fiscal presented revenue changes in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Representative Benson moved the minutes from March 25th, 2014. The motion prevailed. The minutes from March 25th, 2014 were adopted.


The meeting was adjourned at 5:09 PM.
