ENERGY POLICY COMMITTEE
MINUTES

Representative Melissa Hortman, Chair of the Energy Policy Committee, called the fourth meeting to order at 12:33 P.M. on, January 28, 2013, in room10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll. A quorum was present.

Testimony was given by Rick Evans, Director, Regional Government Affairs, Xcel Energy.

Handouts were given to Committee members "Xcel Energy/NSP-Minnesota Profile",
"State of Minnesota Before the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission", "2013/2014/2015 Minnesota Electric and Natural Gas Conservation Improvement Program", "Climate Reporting", "2008 NSP Load Duration Curve with Expected Thermal Dispatch" and "2020 NSP Load
Duration Curve with Expected Thermal Dispatch".

Representative Garofalo moved adoption of the January 22, 2013 minutes.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.


Testimony was given by Joel Johnson, Director of Government Affairs, Minnesota Rural Electric Association.

A handout was given to Committee members "MREA, 2013 MN House Energy Policy Committee".

Testimony was given by Gary Connett, Director of Member Services and DSM, Great River Energy.

A handout was given to Committee members "Great River Energy Overview".




Testimony was given by Catherine Neuschler, Legislative Coordinator, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.

A handout was given to committee members, "Air pollutant Emissions from Minnesota's Energy Sector".


The meeting adjourned at 1:52 P.M.
