MINUTES

Representative Cornish, Chair of the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance Committee, called the twenty-sixth meeting to order at 10:18 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Smith moved that the minutes of March 15, 2011, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1011 (Woodard) Organized retail theft crime created and added to list of designated offenses.

Representative Woodard moved that HF1001 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Judiciary Policy and Finance Committee.

The committee heard testimony on HF1001.

HF0642 (Slocum) Child certified as an adult provided to be detained in a juvenile facility prior to trial and verdict.

Representative Slocum moved that HF0642 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

HF0955 (Cornish) Level III predatory offender Web site maintenance responsibility transferred from the Department of Corrections to the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

Representative Cornish moved that HF0955 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus finance bill.
