MINUTES

Representative Gunther, Chair of the Jobs and Economic Development Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:35 p.m. on March 8, 2012, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Members excused: SANDERS, Tim.

Representative LeMieur moved approval of committee minutes of March 6, 2012. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2485 (Howes) Housing funding provided, Minnesota Housing Finance Agency authorized to issue housing infrastructure bonds, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Representative Howes moved HF2485 before committee.

Testifying before committee on behalf of HF2485 was Commissioner of Minnesota Housing, Mary Tingerthal, Mike Podawiltz, President and CEO of Podawiltz Development Corporation, Jon Ford, Director of Housing Rehabilitation Authority, Justin Vorbach, Supportive Housing Specialist, SW Mn Housing Partnership and Pat Connolly, Housing Development Director of Lutheran Social Service.

Representative Howes renewed his motion that HF2485 be laid over in committee.

HF2606 (Hausman) St. Paul; Enterprise Laboratories building expansion funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Representative Mahoney moved HF2606 before committee.

Representative Hausman discussed HF2606.

Testifying on behalf of HF2606 was Tony Carideo, Chairman of the Board of University Enterprise Laboratories.

Representative Mahoney renewed his motion that HF2606 be laid over in committee.

HF2567 (LeMieur) Todd County senior citizens center funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Representative LeMieur discussed HF2567.

Testifying on behalf of HF2567 was Todd Burkett, Todd County Administrator.

Representative LeMieur renewed his motion that HF2567 be laid over in committee.


The meeting adjourned at 2:02 p.m.
