MINUTES


Representative McDonald called the meeting to order at 12:36 P.M. on March 3, 2011, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was not present.

Scott Leitz, Assistant Commissioner, Minnesota Department of Human Services, Dave Greeman, Budget Director for HCA, Minnesota Department of Human Services, Phil Griffin, Preferred One, presented the Governor's Budget Recommendations for the Department of Human Services.

Representative McDonald officially called the meeting to order at 12:48 P.M.

A quorum was present.

Representative McElfatrick moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on March 1, 2011, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Jean Wood, Aging Adult Services Director, Minnesota Department of Human Services, Alex Bartolic, Disability Services Director, presented an overview on the Continuing Care Administration Money Follow Person Grant.

HF113 (Quam): Gross revenue payment exemption provided
Representative Huntley moved that HF113 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Taxes Committee.

Representative Huntley moved the A1 amendment.

Representative Huntley moved to incorporate the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Quam, Kathy Meyerle, Mayo Clinic, testified on HF113.


Representative Huntley renewed his motion that HF113, as amended, be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Taxes Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:09 P.M.
