GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS AND ELECTIONS

MINUTES

Representative Peppin Chair of the Government Operations and Elections Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:25 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2011 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Scalze moved approval of the minutes from March 16, 2011. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

H.F. 681 (Downey) Minnesota pay for performance pilot program established, funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Representative Murray moved that H.F. 681 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the State Government Finance Committee.

Representative Murray renewed his motion that H.F. 681 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the State Government and Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED. H.F. 681 WAS RECOMMENDED TO PASS AND RE-REFERRED TO THE STATE GOVERNMENT FINANCE COMMITTEE.

H.F. 1074 (Westrom) Advisory Committee for Technology Standards for Accessibility and Usability expiration date extended, advisory committee codified, and money appropriated.

Representative Sanders moved that H.F. 1074 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Environment and Energy Policy and Finance Committee.

Representative Sanders renewed his motion that H.F. 1074 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Environment and Energy Policy and Finance Committee.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. H.F. 1074 WAS RECOMMENDED TO PASS AND RE-REFERRED TO THE ENVIRONMENT AND ENERGY POLICY AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.

H.F. 962 (Howes) Municipal tobacco license suspensions for sales to minors limited upon compliance with requirements.

Representative McFarlane moved that H.F. 962 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Health and Human Services Policy Committee.

Representative McFarlane moved the A11-0148 amendment to H.F. 962. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

The meeting adjourned at 12:08 p.m.
