Minutes

Representative Sondra Erickson, Chair of the Education Reform Committee, called the first meeting to order at 8:18 AM on Thursday, January 6, 2011 in the Basement hearing room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll:

A quorum was present.

Chair Erickson welcomed the committee members, staff and advocates to the first committee hearing. She then gave an overview of the agenda for the day and reviewed the committee rules.

Committee staff introduced themselves.

Members introduced themselves, talked about their top priorities for Education Reform this session, and outlined their background.

Representatives of advocacy groups in the audience introduced themselves.

Chair Erickson outlined her priorities for Education Reform this session.

The meeting adjourned at 9:10 AM.
