MINUTES

Representative Hoppe, Chair of the Commerce and Regulatory Reform Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:34 p.m. on April 13, 2011, in the Basement hearing room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Hoppe moved HF0327.

Representative Hamilton introduced HF0327.

Ross Plaetzer testified.

Representative Hoppe moved amendment H0327A1. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Lee Gohlike testified.

Representative Hoppe renewed his motion that HF0327 be laid over for possible inclusion in the liquor omnibus bill.

Representative Daudt moved the minutes for April 12, 2011. The motion prevailed.

Representative Hoppe moved HF0889.

Representative Beard introduced HF0889.

John Hellendrung testified.

Representative Hoppe renewed his motion that HF0889 be laid over for possible inclusion in the liquor omnibus bill.

Representative Loon moved HF0703 and recommended that it be laid over for possible inclusion in the liquor omnibus bill.

Representative Hoppe handed the gavel to Representative Stensrud at 2:54 p.m.

Representative Loon moved amendment H0703DE1.

Omar Ansari, founder of Surly Brewing Company testified.

Allison Hartle from Summit and Schells testified.

Dan Campo from MN Tavern League testified.

Ryan Petz from Fulton Beer testified.

Dad Schwarz from Stillwater Brewing Company testified.

Scott KiPampeck from Corme table testified.

Jason Alvey from Four Finkens Liquor Store testified.

Andrew Schmidt from MN Beer Activists testified.

Joe Bagnoli, MN License Beverage Association testified.

Representative Loon renewed her motion on amendment H0703DE1. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Representative Loon renewed her motion that HF0703 be laid over as amended for possible inclusion in the liquor omnibus bill.

Representative Hoppe moved HF0448 be laid over for possible inclusion in the liquor omnibus bill.

Representative Simon introduced HF0448.

Jason Alvey from Four Filkens Liquor Store testified.

Nathan Strong from Strong Liquor testified.

Representative Hoppe renewed his motion that HF0448 be laid over for possible inclusion in the liquor omnibus bill. The motion prevailed.
