MINUTES


Representative Leon Lillie, Vice-Chair of the Commerce and Labor Committee, called the meeting to order at 4:36 P.M. on February 16, 2010, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Thao moved that the minutes of February 11, 2010 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF 2754 (Winkler) Secretary of state filings regulated.

Representative Lillie moved HF 2754.

Representative Lillie moved that HF 2754 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance with a recommended re-referral to the Committee on State Government Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF 2818 (Doty) Temporary tax exemption created for lawful gambling organizations making a charitable contribution to local governments.

Representative Lillie moved HF 2818.

Representative Atkins moved HF 2856.

Representative Atkins moved to orally amend HF 2856 as follows:
In lines 2.6 and 2.7: Reinstate the stricken language. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Atkins moved the H2856A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
