Representative John Ward, Co-Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:45PM on February 4, 2009, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Swails moved the minutes of February 3, 2009 be adopted.
THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES ARE ADOPTED.

The following individuals provided and overview of the Perpich Center for Arts and Education (PCAE) and feedback and comments on the governor’s budget recommendation regarding the agency:
Susan Mackert, Chair-elect, PCAE Board
Pam Paulsen, Senior Policy Director, PCAE
Alice Woog, Principal, PCAE
Zane Schaefer, teacher, Annandale Public Schools
RoAnne Elliott, Director of Curriculum Services, Moundsview Public Schools
Administrative Management Director

Public testimony on the governor’s budget recommendation regarding PCAE was provided by the following individuals:

Connor Rice, student

The meeting was adjourned at 4:15PM.
