Chair Wagenius called the meeting to order at 8:30 A.M. on January 15, 2009 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Brandon Hathaway, graduate researcher at the University of Minnesota, and Jane Davidson, professor, U of M Department of Mechanical Engineering, testified on the potential for solar gasification of biomass.

A quorum was present at 8:38 A.M.
Gerardo Ruiz, CEO, freEner-g, testified on solar leasing in Minnesota.

Richard Kiesling, hydrologist, U.S. Geological Survey, testified on the current state of research on endocrine disruptors in Minnesota’s waters.

The committee adjourned at 9:58 A.M.
