Representative Bill Hilty, Chair, called the seventeenth meeting unofficial to order at 2:24 PM on March 5, 2007 in Room 200 of the State office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

2:24 PM - Rep. Kalin presented HF 1221.

2:26 PM - A quorum was present.

2:28 PM - The chair official called the meeting to order.

Representative Ruud moved approval of the minutes of from March 2. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

2:29 PM - Ed Garvey, Deputy Commissioner of Commerce for Energy and Telecommunications, Department of Commerce.

2:45 PM -- Christy Brusven, Special Assistant, Department of Commerce; 85 7th Pl E, St. Paul; 651-282-5088.

2:51 PM - Rep. Kalin gave an overview of the delete everything amendment, which is expected to be introduced at the next committee meeting.

2:56 PM -- Jim Walters, Director of Customer Relations, Rochester Public Utilities.

3:19 PM -- Larry Johnson, Director of Corporate Development, Southern Minnesota Municipal Power Agency.

3:32 PM -- Suzanne Doyle, Manager, DSM Regulatory Strategy & Planning, Xcel Energy.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:51 PM.
