MINUTES


Representative Holberg, Chair of the Transportation Finance Committee, called the Twenty-ninth meeting to order at 12:33 P.M. on Thursday March 23, 2006, in the basement hearing room of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Holberg moved approval of the March 21, 2006 Transportation Finance Committee Meeting Minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

HF3094 (Powell) State Patrol vehicles provided with automatic external defibrillators, and money appropriated.

Representative Holberg moved HF3094 be heard and re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety and Finance.

Representative Powell presented HF3094.

Representative Holberg, on behalf of Representative Powell, moved verbal amendment to HF3094 (see attached). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Holberg moved the A06-1202 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Holberg renewed her motion that HF3094 be passed and re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety and Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3287 (Beard) State airports fund reimbursement accelerated.

Representative Holberg moved HF3287 be heard by the committee and laid over
for possible inclusion in the Transportation Finance Omnibus bill.

HF2846 (Johnson, J.) Eminent domain public use or purpose defined and modified, evidence for certain takings required, attorney fees provided, and other changes provided.

Representative Holberg moved HF2846 be heard by the committee and re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.
