Representative Ron Erhardt, Chairman of the Transportation Policy Committee, called the Thirty-Third meeting to order at 2:35 PM on Tuesday, April 4, 2006, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

Rep. Fritz moved approval of the March 29, 2006 minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Erhardt moved approval of HF3503(Erhardt) Bicycle operators and passengers under the age of 18 required to wear helmets, and standard for helmets updated, and recommended when approved it be placed on the General Register.

Rep. Erhardt presented HF3503.

Testimony in support of HF3503 was provided by:

Rep. Erhardt renewed his motion to approve HF3502 and place it on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chairman Pete Nelson assumed the gavel.

Rep. Nelson moved approval of HF3991(Dempsey) Mississippi River Parkway Commission extended to 2016, and recommended it be re-referred to the Committee on Rules and Legislative Administration.

Rep. Dempsey offered the following oral amendment to HF3991:

Page 1, line 8, delete “2016” and insert “2012”. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Nelson moved approval of HF3886(Sailer) Tribal documents accepted as proof of identity when applying for a driver's license or for purposes of verifying a name change, and recommended it be re-referred to the Committee on Rules and Legislative Administration.

Rep. Sailer moved the A06-1469 amendment to HF3886. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Nelson moved adoption of the H3276A3 amendment to HF3276. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Nelson moved adoption of the A06-1461 amendment to HF3276, as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
