Representative Ron Erhardt, Chairman of the Transportation Policy Committee, called the Fourteenth meeting to order at 2:35 PM on Wednesday, March 9, 2005, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

Rep. Anderson moved approval of the minutes: March 8, 2005. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Severson moved approval of HF1134(Severson) Motor vehicle registration plates regulation and fees provided; and recommended it be placed on the General Register.

Rep. Severson moved adoption of the H1134DE1 amendment to HF1134. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Severson presented HF1134 as amended.

Presenting testimony on HF1134 as amended was:

Gary Spooner, President, MN Deputy Registrars Association
Pat McCormack, Department of Vehicle Services

Rep. Severson renewed his motion to approve HF1134 as amended and that it be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Ruth moved approval of HF1354(Ruth) Motor vehicle transaction fee and filing fees for processing license applications increased;and recommended it be re-referred to the Committee on Transportation Finance.

Rep. Ruth moved adoption of the A05-0184 amendment to HF1354. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Rep. Ruth presented HF1354 as amended.

Presenting testimony in support of HF1354 as amended was:

Grace Wachlarowitz, Vice President, MN Deputy Registrars Association

Rep. Ruth renewed her motion to approve HF1354 as amended and that it be re-referred to the Committee on Transportation Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Ruth moved approval of HF1461(Ruth) Disabilities parking provisions modified and simplified; and recommended it be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law.

Rep. Ruth moved adoption of the H1461A1 amendment to HF1461. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Ruth presented HF1461 as amended.

Presenting testimony on HF1461 as amended was:

Tom Evans, DVS Special Plates Unit

Rep. Ruth renewed her motion to approve HF1461 as amended and that it be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Holberg moved approval of HF1352(Holberg) Motor vehicle and driver applications and records provisions modified, and vehicle accident report procedures modified including "long arm" statute provisions; and recommended it be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law.

Rep. Holberg presented HF1352.

Rep. Holberg renewed her motion approve HF1352 and re-refer it to the Committee on Civil Law. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
