MINUTES



Representative Ray Vandeveer, Chairman of the Property and Local Tax Division Committee, called the thirteenth meeting to order at 10:24 AM on Thursday, April 14, 2005, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

HF 1827 (Rep. Mullery). Local government aid additional city aid base provided for certain cities, city aid appropriation limit increased, and aid required to be used for certain purposes.

Rep. Rukavina moved HF 1827 for possible inclusion in the Division Report.

HF 2033 (Rep. Ellison). Local government aid city formula modified, funds dedicated to police and public safety purposes, and city aid appropriation adjusted.

Rep. Rukavina moved HF 2033 for possible inclusion in the Division Report.

Rep. Ellison presented HF 2033.

HF 0754 (Rep. Rukavina). City formula aid modified.

11:05 AM Rep. Rukavina moved HF 0754 for possible inclusion in the Division Report.

Rep. Rukavina moved the H0754A1 amendment to HF 0754.

Chair Vandeveer laid over HF 0754 as amended.

HF 1182 (Rep. Severson). Local government aid city aid base increased for specified cities.

11:23 AM Chair Vandeveer moved HF 1182 for possible inclusion in the Division Report.

Rep Severson presented HF 1182.

HF 2059 (Rep. Davids). Education funding increased, local government aid formula modified and increased, motor vehicle sales tax portion dedicated to transit eliminated, local sales tax or property tax levy for transit authorized, and money appropriated.

11:28 AM Rep. Lanning moved HF 2059 for possible inclusion in the Division Report.

Rep. Lanning moved H2059A1 amendment to HF 2059. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
