MINUTES


Representative Marty Seifert, Chair of the Committee on State Government Finance called the twenty-second meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2005, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Members present:

A quorum was present.



Representative Finstad moved HF2044 for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance omnibus bill.
Testifying was: Richard Kruege, Executive Director of Minnesota Racing Commission
Chairman Seifert laid over HF2044 for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance omnibus bill.

Chairman Seifert moved HF1964 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the committee on Ways and Means.
Testifying was: Ed Robinson, Department of Administration
Chairman Seifert renewed his motion moving HF1964 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the committee on Ways and Means.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative DeLaForest moved HF1802 for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance omnibus bill.
Chairman Seifert laid over HF1802 for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance omnibus bill.

Chairman Seifert moved HF913 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the committee on Ways and Means.
Representative Hilty moved the following oral amendments:
Page 8, line 2 delete everything after the period.
Page 8, delete lines 4 and 5."
Page 8, line 6, delete "open enrollment period."
Page 8, line 11, before the period insert "wishes to be eligible"
Delete Section 5.
Page 9, line 8, delete "sections 4 and 5" and insert "section 4 is".
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENTS WERE ADOPTED.
Chairman Seifert moved HF913 be recommended to pass, as amended, and be re-referred to the General Register.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chairman Seifert moves HF1953 for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance omnibus bill.
Chairman Seifert moved the amendment labeled A05-0489.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chairman Seifert moved HF1953 be laid over, as amended, for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance Omnibus bill.
