MINUTES


Representative Joyce Peppin, Vice-Chair of the Committee on State Government Finance called the twenty-first meeting to order at 8:27 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2005, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present at 9:56 a.m.

Chair Peppin moved HF1673 for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance Omnibus Bill.

Gregg Hubinger, Director of Legislative Coordinating Commission
Chair Peppin laid over HF1673 for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance Omnibus bill.

Chair Peppin moved HF1135 for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance Omnibus Bill.
Chair Peppin moved the amendment labeled "H1135A3".
Chair Peppin incorporated the following verbal amendments to the amendment:
“Remove line 1 and insert: “Delete Everything after the enacting clause.”
“Line 3 after "Sec." Delete "2"."
Chair Peppin moved the amendment labeled "H1135A3", as amended.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Testifying was: Michael Pugliese, Deputy Commissioner of, Dept. of Veterans Affairs
Chair Peppin laid over HF1135, as amended, for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance Omnibus bill.

Chair Peppin moved HF858 for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance Omnibus Bill.
Chair Peppin laid over HF858 for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance Omnibus Bill.

Representative Blaine moved HF1778 be indefinitely postponed and substituted for SF1621.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Blain moved SF1621 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Blaine renewed his motion moving SF1621 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
