MINUTES


Representative Bob Gunther, Chair of the Jobs & Economic Opportunity Policy & Finance Committee called the sixty-first meeting to order at 8:25 a.m., on Wednesday, April 5, 2006, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Chair Gunther introduced the continuation of the Department of Human Services presentation of the Governor’s Supplemental Budget.

Representative Slawik moved the Minutes of April 4, 2006. The motion prevailed. The Minutes of April 4, 2006 were approved.


HF3964(Abler) Community action grant money appropriated.

Representative Westerberg moved HF3964 to be before the committee and to be laid over for possible inclusion the Jobs & Economic Opportunity Omnibus Bill.

Representative Clark moved Amendment H3719DE1. Chair Gunther moved to amend Amendment H3719DE1, page 2, line 2.21, after “subdivision 6.” insert “member reimbursements shall be paid by the Commissioner of Commerce.” The motion prevailed. Chair Gunther’s oral amendment to Amendment H3719DE1 was adopted. Representative Clark renewed her motion to adopt Amendment H3719DE1, as amended. The motion prevailed. Amendment H3719DE1, as amended, was adopted.
