Representative Bob Gunther, Chair of the Jobs & Economic Opportunity Policy & Finance Committee called the fiftieth meeting to order at 8:21 a.m., on Thursday, March 9, 2006, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Representative Mahoney moved to approve the Minutes of February 21, 2006, February 22, 2006, February 23, 2006 and March 2, 2006. The motion prevailed and the Minutes of February 21, 2006, February 22, 2006, February 23, 2006 and March 2, 2006 were approved.


HF 2819(Lanning) Northern Connections pilot project money appropriated.

Chair Gunther moved HF 2819 to be before the committee.

Representative Lanning presented HF 2819.

Representative Clark moved HF2068 to be before the committee.

Represented Clark moved Amendment H2068A1 to be adopted into HF2068. Amendment H2068A1 was adopted.

Chair Gunther moved an oral amendment, page 1, line 1.7 delete “grants”, insert “a grant” and delete “local units of government”, insert “City of Austin”. The motion prevailed, and the oral amendment was adopted.

Representative Mahoney moved HF3052 to be before the committee.

Representative Ellison presented HF3052.
