MINUTES


Representative Bob Gunther, Chair of the Jobs & Economic Opportunity Policy & Finance Committee, called the eleventh meeting to order at 8:40 a.m., on Tuesday, February 1, 2005, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Wilkin moved HF 0521 to be before the committee and to be recommended for inclusion in the Capital Investment Omnibus Bill.

Representative Powell presented HF 0521

Testifying on HF 0521 were:
Mitch Rasmussen, Director of Engineering & Infrastructure, City of Burnsville
Dave Edmunds, Executive Vice President, Ed Kraemer & Sons

HF 0521 was laid over for recommendation for inclusion in the Capital Investment Omnibus Bill.


Representative Bradley moved HF 0510 to be before the committee and to be recommended for inclusion in the Capital Investment Omnibus Bill.

Representative Mahoney presented HF 0510.

HF 0510 was laid over for recommendation for inclusion in the Capital Investment Omnibus Bill.


Chair Gunther turned the gavel over to Vice Chair Garofalo at 9:05 pm.


Representative Sertich moved HF 0595 to be before the committee and to be recommended for inclusion in the Capital Investment Omnibus Bill.

Representative Gunther presented HF 0595.


Sertich moved to amend HF0595, page 4, line 9, delete "$15, 000,000" and insert "$20,000,000" and page 4, line 16, delete "$15,000,000" and insert "$20,000,000". The Motion Prevailed and the amendment was Adopted.

HF 0595 was laid over, as amended, for recommendation for inclusion in the Capital Investment Omnibus Bill.


Chair Gunther resumed the Chair at 9:20 am.


Representative Sertich moved HF 0359 to be before the committee and to be recommended for inclusion in the Capital Investment Omnibus Bill.

Sertich presented HF 0359.

Sertich moved to amend HF0359, page 1, line 6, delete "$1, 200,000" and insert "$1,700,000" and page 1, line 14, delete "$1,200,000" and insert "$1,700,000". The Motion Prevailed and the amendment was Adopted.

Representative Sertich moved HF 0427 to be before the committee and to be recommended for inclusion in the Capital Investment Omnibus Bill.

Representative Sertich moved HF 0492 to be before the committee and to be recommended for inclusion in the Capital Investment Omnibus Bill.

Representative Rukavina presented HF 0492.

HF 0492 was laid over for recommendation for inclusion in the Capital Investment Omnibus bill.


Representative Gunther moved to amend the Minutes of January 31, 2005, page 16, first sentence, delete “Thursday” and insert “Monday” and approve the Minutes of January 31, 2005. The Motion Prevailed and the Minutes of January 27, 2005, as amended, were Approved.


The meeting was adjourned at 10:05 am.
