MINUTES


Representative Greg Davids, Chair of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee, called the eighth meeting to order at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2005, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Members excused:

HF118 (Urdahl) Food manufacturers and sellers protected from legal actions taken against them to recover damages for alleged injury or weight gain resulting from consumption of food

Rep. Urdahl presented HF118.

A quorum was present at 2:36 p.m.

Rep. Magnus moved approval of the minutes: Wednesday, February 9, 2005. The motion prevailed.

Rep. Urdahl moved HF118.

Rep. Urdahl moved to amend HF118 with the H0118DE3, the delete everything amendment (please see attached). The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Rep. Urdahl moved to amend HF118, as amended, as follows:

Page 1, line 15, after "A" and before "manufacturer", insert "producer, grower,"

The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Rep. Urdahl renewed his motion that HF118, as amended, be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law. The motion prevailed.

Chair Davids announced the agenda for the next hearing.
