      The House of Representatives convened at 10:00 a.m. and was called to order by Andrew Carlson, Speaker pro tempore.

 

      Prayer was offered by the Reverend James McConville, Associate Pastor, Church of St. Agnes, St. Paul, Minnesota.

 

      The members of the House gave the pledge of allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.

      A quorum was present.

 

      Baker, Bliss and Thompson were excused.

 

      Bahr was excused until 10:50 a.m.  Mariani was excused until 11:10 a.m.

 

      The Chief Clerk proceeded to read the Journals of the preceding days.  There being no objection, further reading of the Journals was dispensed with and the Journals were approved as corrected by the Chief Clerk.

Bernardy introduced:

 

H. F. No. 39, A bill for an act relating to capital investment; appropriating money for asset preservation at the National Sports Center in Blaine; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.

 

The bill was read for the first time and referred to the Committee on Capital Investment.

 

 

Murphy introduced:

 

H. F. No. 40, A bill for an act relating to health; modifying assisted living licensure requirements for new construction; amending Laws 2020, Seventh Special Session chapter 1, article 6, section 12, subdivision 2.

 

The bill was read for the first time and referred to the Committee on Health Finance and Policy.

 

 

Lueck introduced:

 

H. F. No. 41, A bill for an act relating to taxation; property; requiring the state to pay the costs of property tax judgments against state-assessed property; requiring reports; appropriating money; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, sections 273.372, by adding subdivisions; 278.12; 290.06, by adding a subdivision; 297E.021, subdivision 4.

 

The bill was read for the first time and referred to the Committee on Taxes.

 

 

Jurgens introduced:

 

H. F. No. 42, A bill for an act relating to taxation; sales and use; providing an exemption for certain purchases of equipment for lawful gambling; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, sections 297A.68, subdivision 29; 297A.70, by adding a subdivision; 297E.02, subdivision 3, as amended.

 

The bill was read for the first time and referred to the Committee on Taxes.

 

 

REPORT FROM THE COMMITTEE ON RULES

AND LEGISLATIVE ADMINISTRATION

 

      Winkler from the Committee on Rules and Legislative Administration, pursuant to rules 1.21 and 3.33, designated the following bills to be placed on the Calendar for the Day for Thursday, June 17, 2021 and established a prefiling requirement for amendments offered to the following bills:

 

      H. F. Nos. 6, 7, 8 and 13.
