Two down and one to go as the second committee deadline has arrived. There are now two weeks until the third, and final, deadline April 12, by when committees must act favorably on major appropriation and finance bills.

Several committees and divisions have announced they likely have concluded their work for the session and do not expect to meet again. But that only means more action on the House Floor, which resumes Monday with four bills on the Calendar for the Day. Plus, a number of committees are scheduled to unveil their omnibus finance bills early next week.

But before we look ahead, however, let’s look back at what you may have missed this week.
