A rule for child care providers would be no more, under a bill the House passed Tuesday.
Sponsored Rep. Mary Franson (R-Alexandria) and Sen. Andrew Lang (R-Olivia), HF3253/SF2685* was passed 127-0. It would exempt child care providers from the positive support strategies training rule.
Franson said the rule created unintended impacts on access to child care for disabled people.
Passed 65-0 by the Senate May 7, it now goes to the governor.
