WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Liz Olson, Chair of the Committee on Ways and Means, called the meeting to order at 9:03 A.M. on Friday, May 3, 2024, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Petersburg moved that the minutes of May 1, 2024, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3276 (Frazier) Ranked choice voting provided; jurisdictions authorized to adopt ranked choice voting for local offices; ranked choice voting for local jurisdictions adoption, implementation, and use established; local jurisdictions allowed to use electronic voting systems with a reallocation feature; and rulemaking authorized.

Chair Olson moved that HF 3276 be placed on the General Register.

Chair Olson moved the H3276A8 amendment to HF 3276. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Frazier presented HF 3276 as amended.

Chair Olson renewed the motion that HF 3276, as amended, be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF4975 (Acomb) Agriculture, commerce, and energy supplemental budget bill.

Chair Olson moved that HF 4975 be placed on the General Register.

Chair Olson moved the H4975A8 amendment to HF 4975.

Majority Leader Long presented the H4975A8 amendment to HF 4975.

Chair Olson renewed the motion to adopt the H4975A8 amendment to HF 4975. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Olson renewed the motion that HF 4975, as amended, be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting adjourned at 9:57 A.M.
