Rules and Legislative Administration Committee Minutes

Representative Jamie Long, Chair of the Committee on Rules and Legislative Administration, called the meeting to order at 11:00 am on January 4, 2023 in Room 120 of the Minnesota State Capitol.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Kelly Knight, Director of Human Resources of the Minnesota House of Representatives Human Services Department, testified on the House Policy on Harassment and Discrimination.

Chair Long moved to amend the House Policy Against Discrimination and Harassment by adding in the terms “gender and gender identity” on the top of page 4 after “sexual orientation.” THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Long moved to approve the House Policy on Harassment and Discrimination, as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Long moved to approve 2023-P1, Policy on Service Award Program. Kelly Knight, Director of Human Resources of the Minnesota House of Representatives Human Services Department, testified on the Resolution. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Long moved to approve 2023-P2, Policy on Donated Vacation Time. Kelly Knight, Director of Human Resources of the Minnesota House of Representatives Human Services Department, testified on the Resolution. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
