PUBLIC SAFETY FINANCE AND POLICY MINUTES


Representative Kelly Moller, Chair of the Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:31 AM on January 26, 2023, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Becker-Finn moved that the Committee minutes from January 24, 2023, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 91 (Liebling) Abortion regulating statutes repealed, sex offenses repealed, statutes governing the sale of articles and information and prohibiting advertisements repealed, limitation removed on performance of abortions at birth centers, language stricken regarding medical assistance coverage of abortion, limitation removed on MinnesotaCare coverage of abortion, and conforming changes made. (Pending Referral)

Chair Moller moved that HF 91 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Chair Moller moved the H0091A10 amendment.

Rep. Liebling presented the H0091A10 amendment.

Rep. Novotny moved the H0091A15 amendment, to amend the H0091A10 amendment.

Rep. Novotny presented the H0091A15 amendment.

Rep. Novotny requested a roll call vote on the H0091A15 amendment.
