MINUTES

Representative Liebling, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:30 A.M. on March 24, 2023 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

HF2267 (Keeler) Medical assistance payment rate modified for dually certified organization serving American Indians and Alaska Natives, Indian Health Board grant provided, and money appropriated.

Chair Liebling moved that HF2267 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

Chair Liebling moved the H2267A1-1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Keeler presented her bill as amended.

Testifying:

Chair Liebling laid over HF2267, as amended, for possible inclusion in the Committee bill.

HF1436 (Vang) FIRST ENGROSSMENT Programs to address health and human services workforce shortage expanded and established, reports required, and money appropriated.

Chair Liebling moved that HF1436, First Engrossment, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

Representative Vang presented her bill.

Chair Liebling laid over HF1436 First Engrossment for possible inclusion in the Committee bill.

HF2505 (Lee, K.) Victims of labor trafficking and labor exploitation services funding provided, and money appropriated.

Chair Liebling moved that HF2505 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

Chair Liebling moved the H2505A-1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Lee presented her bill as amended.

Caroline Palmer, Director, Safe Harbor, Minnesota Department of Health, responded to member questions.

Chair Liebling laid over HF2505 as amended for possible inclusion in the Committee bill.

HF1852 (Clardy) Alzheimer's public information program established, and money appropriated.

Chair Liebling moved that HF1852 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

Representative Clardy presented her bill.
