AGRICULTURE FINANCE & POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Samantha Vang, Chair of the Committee on Agriculture Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 4:00 PM on March 30th, 2023, in Room 120 of the State Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Sencer-Mura moved to adopt the March 28, 2023, minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The following testified on HF 2278, as amended:

• Lori Cox, Owners/ Operator, Roots Return Farms
• Chris Cowen, Contract Lobbyist, Pesticide Action Network

• Dr. Rajinder Maan, Agriculture Program Manager, Minnesota Department of Agriculture

HF 2278 (Vang); Board of Animal Health funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Vang presented HF 2278, as amended.

Representative Vang moved that HF 2278, as amended, be re-referred to Ways and Means Committee.

Representative Vang moved the A12 amendment. THE AMENDMENT PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Pursell assumed the gavel at 4:10 PM.

Representative Harder moved the A3 amendment.

Representative Harder requested a roll call vote on the A3 amendment.
