MINUTES

Representative Youakim, Chair of the Property Tax Division, called the remote meeting to order at 3:00 P.M. on February 24, 2021, pursuant to House Rule 10.01. The meeting is being broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Vice-Chair Gomez moved the approval of the February 17, 2021 minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1322 (Acomb) Minnetonka; tax increment authorized for housing projects

Representative Hassan moved that HF 1322 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Representative Hassan moved that the HF 1322 A1 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Acomb presented the bill, as amended.

Representative Hassan renewed her motion that HF 1322, as amended be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Chair Youakim passed the gavel and Vice-Chair Gomez assumed the Chair at 3:30 P.M.

HF 1090 (Youakim) St. Louis Park; tax increment use for housing projects authorized

Chair Youakim moved that HF 1090 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Chair Youakim moved that the HF 1090 A1 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Youakim presented the bill, as amended.

Chair Youakim renewed her motion that HF 1090, as amended be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.
Chair Youakim reassumed the Chair at 3:42 P.M.

HF 1066 (Davnie) Tourism improvement special taxing district creation authorized

Vice-Chair Gomez moved that HF 1066 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Representative Fischer moved that the HF 1066 A2 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Davnie presented the bill, as amended.

property tax levies and bond issuance allowed

Representative Becker-Finn moved that HF 978 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Representative Becker-Finn moved that the HF 978 A1 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Becker-Finn presented the bill, as amended.

Representative Marquart moved that HF 500 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Representative Marquart moved that the HF 500 A2 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Marquart presented the bill, as amended.
