TAX COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Paul Marquart, Chair of the Committee, called the virtual Tax Committee meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting is being broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Lislegard moved the approval of the March 29, 2022 minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3967 (Davids) Pass-through entity tax requirements modified.

Representative Davids moved that HF 3967 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Tax Omnibus Bill.

Representative Davids moved the H3967A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Davids presented HF 3967, as amended.

Chair Marquart laid over HF3967, as amended, for possible inclusion in the Tax Omnibus Bill.

Vice Chair Lislegard assumed the gavel at 1:21 P.M.
HF 4198 (Marquart) Counties provided grants for education, jobs, and workforce
development; Community Career Workforce Academies established, report required, and
money appropriated.

Representative Marquart moved that HF 4198 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Tax Omnibus Bill.

Representative Marquart presented HF 4198.

Chair Lislegard laid over HF 4198 for possible inclusion in the Tax Omnibus Bill.

HF 4513 (Marquart) Child protection; legislative auditor required to conduct special
review of county costs, reports required, and money appropriated.

Representative Marquart moved that HF 4513 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Tax Omnibus Bill.

Representative Marquart moved the H4513A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Marquart presented HF 4513, as amended.

Providing testimony:

Matt Hilgart, Association of Minnesota Counties

Chair Lislegard laid over HF 4513, as amended, for possible inclusion in the Tax Omnibus Bill.

Chair Marquart assumed the gavel at 1:47 P.M.
