PUBLIC SAFETY AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Mariani, Chair of the Committee on Public Safety and Criminal Justice Reform Finance and Policy, called the virtual meeting to order at 1:01 PM on February 4th, 2021 pursuant to House Rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Frazier moved that the minutes of January 28, 2021, January 29, 2021, and February 2, 2021 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Mariani presented HF XXX, Revisor Code 21-02465 (Mariani) Local Police Policy Manual Funding and Standardization.

Representative Frazier moved that HF 593 be referred to the General Register.

Representative Frazier presented HF 593, a bill for an act relating to public safety; requiring the Peace Officer Standards and Training Board to revise the standards of conduct for peace officers.

Representative Frazier moved to adopt the H0593A2 amendment to the H0593A1 amendment.

Representative Frazier renewed the motion to adopt the H0593A2 amendment to the H0593A1 amendment.

Representative Mariani requested a roll call on the H0593A2 amendment to the H0593A1 amendment.
