JUDICIARY FINANCE AND CIVIL LAW MINUTES

Representative Jamie Becker-Finn, Chair of the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law, called the virtual meeting to order at 8:30 AM on March 8, 2022 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Scott moved that the minutes of March 3, 2022 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Becker-Finn moved that HF 1432 be recommended to be referred to the Human Services Finance and Policy Committee.

Representative Becker-Finn moved that the HF 1432A22 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Frederick presented HF 1432 as amended, a bill for an act relating to human services; modifying vulnerable adult protection provisions; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, sections 626.557, subdivisions 4, 9, 9b, 9c, 9d, 10b, 12b; 626.5571, subdivisions 1, 2; 626.5572, subdivisions 2, 4, 17.

Representative Becker-Finn renewed the motion that HF 1432, as amended, be referred to the Committee on Human Services Finance and Policy.
