COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Connie Bernardy, Chair of the Higher Education Finance and Policy Division, called the virtual committee meeting to order at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Sandstede moved to approve the minutes from March 3, 20201. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1802 (Her) - Students formerly in foster care grant and waiver program established, money transferred, and reports required.

Chair Bernardy moved that HF 1802 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Chair Bernardy moved to adopt the A1 Amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Her presented HF 1802 to the committee.

Chair Bernardy renewed the motion that HF 1802 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.

HF 9 (Greenman) Voter registration related provisions modified; absentee voting provisions modified.

Chair Bernardy moved that HF 9 be referred to Taxes.

Chair Bernardy moved to adopt the A15 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Greenman presented HF 9 to the committee.
