HUMAN SERVICES FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Jennifer Schultz, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:30 am on March 9th, 2021 remotely via Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.


The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Bahner moved that the minutes from March 5th, 2021 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF821 (Koegel) Unused dependent care flexible spending account fund carryover required in benefit plan years 2020 and 2021.

Chair Schultz moved that HF821 be laid over for possible inclusion in a budget omnibus.

HF947 (Pinto) Delinquent children and youth in detention facility visual inspection prohibited, delinquent children and youth in detention facility disciplinary room time prohibited, and delinquency and detention age raised to 13 years old.

Rep. Pinto moved that HF1436 be placed on the General Register as recommended.

Rep. Pinto renewed his motion to place HF947 on the General Register as recommended.

Chair Schultz moved that HF611 be laid over for possible inclusion in a budget omnibus.

HF1785 (Noor) Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) onetime supplemental payment funding provided, and money appropriated.

Rep. Noor moved the A1 Amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
