Early Childhood Finance and Policy Division

Representative Dave Pinto, Chair of the Early Childhood Finance and Policy Division, called the virtual meeting to order at 8:30 AM on March 10, 2022 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Vice Chair Pryor moved the minutes from the committee meeting on March 8, 2022, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The following gave an overview of the Report Titled “State-level governance for early childhood programs in Minnesota”:
• Matt Kane, Senior Management Consultant, Management Analysis and Development
(MAD) Division, Minnesota Management and Budget
• Lisa Hermanson, Management Consultant, Management Analysis and Development
(MAD) Division, Minnesota Management and Budget
• Erin Bailey, Assistant Commissioner of Children’s Cabinet, Minnesota Management and
Budget
• Mary Manning, Assistant Commissioner, Minnesota Department of Health
• Bobbie Burnham, Assistant Commissioner for the Office of Teaching and Learning, Minnesota Department of Education

The Following presented on behalf of the Hunt Institute:
• Dan Wuori, Ph.D, Senior Director of Early Learning, The Hunt Institute

The meeting adjourned at 9:58am.
