MINUTES

Representative Jim Davnie, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 10:30am on April 6, 2022, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcasted via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Jordan moved that the minutes from April 5, 2022, be approved. Motion prevailed.
Vice-Chair Sandstede assumed the gavel at 10:33am.
HF 4300 (Rep. Davnie) - HF 4300 is the House Omnibus K-12 Finance and Policy Bill.
Chair Davnie moved that HF 4300 be presented before the committee; be referred to the Taxes Committee.
Chair Davnie moved that the DE1 amendment to HF 4300 be before the committee for formal action. The DE1 amendment was previously introduced to the committee on April 4, 2022, with public testimony taken on April 5, 2022.
Chair Davnie moved that the A4 amendment to the DE1 amendment to HF 4300 be presented to and adopted by the committee. A voice vote was taken. Motion prevailed and the amendment was adopted.
Chair Davnie moved that the DE1 amendment to HF 4300, as amended, be adopted by the committee. A voice vote was taken. Motion prevailed and the amendment was adopted.
Chair Davnie renewed the motion that HF 4300, as amended, be referred to the Taxes Committee. A roll call vote was taken. Motion prevailed.

*An author’s Delete-All amendment to House File 4300 (Davnie) will be posted by Monday, April 4th, 2022. Action will be taken on the bill no later than Thursday April 7th, 2022.
