MINUTES

Representative Nelson, Chair of the State Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:02 AM, March 27, 2019 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Huot moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on March 26th, 2019 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Nelson moved HF1968 be held over for possible inclusion in the Division Omnibus Bill.

HF1968 (Hornstein); Modifying provisions related to state employees with disabilities; creating a working group; requiring a report.

Chair Nelson moved HF1968 be rereferred to the Committee on Ways and Means with a recommendation that it be referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Nelson moved HF1861 be held over for possible inclusion in the Division Omnibus Bill.

Chair Nelson moved Amendment H1861A1. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF1861 (Pierson); Prohibiting an agency from procuring supplies or services from persons that fail to disclose as required by federal law information relating to conflict minerals originating in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or its neighboring countries; requiring an agency to provide notice of the prohibition in any solicitation for supplies or services.

HF 1773 (Dettmer); Providing funding to construct the Minnesota Medal of Honor Commemorative Memorial.

HF1962 (Nelson); Establishing a working group on the legislature’s accessibility measures; requiring the legislature to comply with accessibility standards for technology; appropriating money.
