MINUTES

Representative Mariani, Chair of the Public Safety and Criminal Justice Reform Finance and Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 12:45 P.M. on March 21st, 2019, in room 120 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Edelson moved to approve the minutes for the March 14th, 2019 meeting. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1909 (Lesch) - Wine direct shippers regulated; sales and use taxes, liquor gross receipts taxes, and excise taxes on direct shipments of wine imposed; licensing and required reports provided; data classification provided; and bootlegging prohibited.

Representative Lesch moved to amend HF1909 with the A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Lesch moved to re-refer HF1909, as amended, to the Committee of Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF1568 (Youakim) - Light rail transit operators subjected to the reckless or careless driving law, light rail transit safety features study required, and report required.

Representative Johnson moved to divide the A3 Amendment with “Page 2, delete sections 3” being part one and “Page 2, delete section 4” as part two. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Johnson requested a roll call vote on part one of the A3 Amendment.

Representative Dehn moved to amend HF2405, as amended, with the A2 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Pinto moved to amend HF2395 with the A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
